TOP REALTOR SIESTA KEY

Friends introduced us to the beautiful beach of Siesta Key 5 years ago. We have vacationed there at least once a year since then, and have even brought family members down on an annual Thanksgiving week vacation with us. While down in Siesta Key in November 2002, my husband starting browsing the Internet for properties. He came across John and Nancy Werner’s website and logged on to see what was available. My husband immediately liked John and Nancy for their forethought with the use of the Internet. He logged onto the website and listed our requirements for a place in Siesta Key, and within a day John contacted us in regards to some available condos for sale. We were only looking at this time, as it was a spur of the moment type idea. You get that way when relaxing on Siesta Key beach. We met with John a few days later and began looking at condos.

We were immediately impressed with John’s demeanor. We had purchased several homes in the past and were used to overbearing real estate agents. John was completely relaxed and never overtaxing. He let us look and gave us his honest opinion about the condos and the land around it, but he never tried to sell us on any one place. One of the last few condos we looked at that first day was perfect for us.

Of course all vacations end and we were headed up north. I remained in contact with John during the course of 2 weeks to ask him questions about the development and the condo itself. We finally decided to make an offer on the place and went from there. John remained calm and cool during the whole purchase process. He was extremely professional and courteous throughout the process and I would highly recommend him to any of my family or friends who wish to purchase a home around the Sarasota area. I only wish all other real estate agents were like him.

Additionally, I should mention that my husband and I are in our mid-30’s. Why is this mentioned? Well the purchase price of our condo was a little on the high side for most 30-yr-olds. John never made us feel like we couldn’t afford the place. He treated us with the utmost respect, which I greatly appreciated.

I am writing to tell you about the wonderful experience my husband and I had with Nancy Werner
(John & Nancy Werner, ReMax Properties, Sarasota Fl.). My husband and I were in Florida for a quick trip to look at property and we were lucky enough to meet Nancy Werner. Nancy was  extremely helpful, extremely nice (she even gave us the names of several restaurants, hotels and sites to see) and spent two full days with us looking at many places. She assisted us in finding the condo of our dreams at Burnt Store Marina, with the help of an agent that she works with there.

I was a real estate agent for a year in Boston and quit because other agents were so mean and so competitive that it became impossible for me to continue. That is not my personality and I was so happy to meet the wonderful agents we had in Florida who worked together, did not pressure us in any way and were extremely nice to us and more importantly, to each other. It seems to me that people are always ready to write a letter when they have had a bad experience but not when they have had a good one. I would rather tell you how nice someone was. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Nancy represents what all other real estate agents should aspire to. We couldn't have done any better.

Not knowing Realtors in the Sarasota area, and having had a bad experience selling a prior piece of property in the area, John & Nancy were indeed a breath of fresh air. They were very proactive, kept us well informed on events relating to the sell, kept our best interest in mind, sold the property for a good price in a reasonable period of time, but by far the most important traits they posse are that they are practical and ethical in their dealings.

As a side note, after the sale, they also helped us acquire a rental unit, for a couple weeks, so that my mother could continue to enjoy the beaches on Siesta Key, and the area she knows and enjoys. They do a great job, I would use them again or recommend them to any of my family and friends.

In our situation of not living in Florida, I really appreciated their follow through and having everything organized when we arrived.
